Paul McLean is a graphic designer with over 25 years experience working in the design industry. After 12 years with design agency HGDesign, where client accounts included National Trust for Scotland, Save the Children and Johnstons of Elgin, Paul decided it was time to set-up business for himself, and in 2009 'pmgd (Paul McLean Graphic Design)' was born... flourishing ever since!

In 2024 pmgd incorporated as a Limited company, registered in Scotland, with Paul becoming Director of 'PMGD Ltd'.

Specialising in branding and graphic design for printed and digital marketing materials, pmgd offers a carefully managed service which sees creative solutions produced and artwork executed to the highest quality. Full project management including: meeting and defining of brief; project planning, scheduling and costing; design concepts, development stages and finished artwork; with print/production handling is provided in a professional manner as a friendly and affordable service.

 

Based in the beautiful village of Newstead in the Scottish Borders, pmgd has a fully equipped Apple Mac based studio, using the latest industry standard software Adobe CC software including InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator - whilst not forgetting to start an idea off by sketching with pen and paper! Good working relationships with a core of trusted suppliers, from printers and photographers to illustrators and web-coders; plus a finger on the pulse ensures an inspired, efficient, productive and committed studio is operated.
